Day 25 Sydney First Day
We docked at Circular Quay around 5:45 am. It was too dark and frankly too early to have got up to see our entry into Sydney Harbour. We awoke and looked out our window at a view of the Harbour Bridge.
The view at breakfast was also spectacular.
Unfortunately, over the previous couple of days, we have both come down with heavy cold-like symptoms of a malady which has been rampant around the ship. Our grand plans for the day had to be reduced to a walk around the Quay up to the Opera House. We were keen to keep our strength up for our planned evening .
We had booked for dinner with Alan and Noelle at Matt Moran’s Aria restaurant on the Quay. The service was exceptional, the food was outstanding and the views from the table were magnificent. As befits all that, the bill was substantial but it was a great way to mark the end of our voyage.
We had a lovely walk back to the ship in the warm balmy evening.
